International HR Management

International Human Resource Management (Certificate)

As more businesses seek to expand internationally, more human resource and business professionals are searching to better understand how to work effectively between cultures and countries.

The vast differences related to communication, business strategy, and resources when working with people from multiple countries requires informed professionals to identify issues before they become problematic, capitalize on opportunities specific to different regions, and offer guidance on best practices related to international work.

As a result of this market need and consumer interest, the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) created a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification. Saint Mary’s, a member of the HRCI higher education network, is excited to offer a certificate supporting the deep exploration of international human resource management.

Program Courses and GPHR Certification Preparation

The International Human Resource Management certificate consists of four (4) 3-credit graduate level courses:

Strategic International Human Resources
Global Talent Management and Total Rewards
Promoting a Diverse Workplace Culture
Global Professional Human (GPHR) Certification Review

After the completion of the certificate, students are encouraged to complete the certification through HRCI so they can add the GPHR certification as a professional credential, as well as their International Human Resource Management Certificate from Saint Mary’s.

Master’s Degree Completion

For students seeking to use this certificate toward a full master’s degree, two of the International Human Resource Management Certificate courses can be used toward the following options:

Business Administration, M.B.A. - Accelerated Online
Human Resource Management, M.A.
